Heel spur – pain

Editor: | 14. January 2019

Characteristics of heel spur: A heel spur is a bony thickening that occurs at the attachment of ligaments and muscles to the heel bone or rarely at the insertion of the Achilles tendon. Pain in the heel bone area arises from stress on the tendons and muscles, mechanical overload, improper footwear, or poor foot posture. In heel spur, heel pain occurs around the spur, in the plantar area or on the inner edge of the foot; ankle movements are not reduced and no signs of inflammation or swelling are present outside the heel spur.

X-ray examination can rule out other causes of pain, such as trauma, arthrosis, and others. Prevention should include proper footwear, foot care and exercise, massage, stretching the toes and correction of the foot posture by using orthotic supports. In athletes suffering from persistent pain, special podiatric examination and follow-up care are recommended. Treatment for mild forms of heel spurs: topical application of anti-inflammatory creams, orthotic devices and rehabilitation. In severe cases, treatment with acoustic shock waves. Soft X-ray therapy has gradually been abandoned.

Using magnetic therapy in heel spur pain

In heel spur pain, Biomag low-frequency pulsed magnetic therapy is successfully used within rehabilitation therapy, as it can help manage milder conditions of heel spur due to its analgesic, anti-inflammatory, and healing effects. In addition, it can be used during follow-up care after acoustic shock wave and surgery, as it accelerates healing.

It's hard to describe all the problems I'm using the device for, but I've completely eliminated the pain of the right heel - spurs, elbow and hip-joint pains.

I use Biomag for healing foot spurs, the difficulties disappear at the moment.

Martin Król, Praha

I tried magnetotherapy for joints and for teeth inflammation with excellent results. Husband used the device for spurs on his heels, the pain receded. Magnetotherapy has a wide application, we feel fresh and have a greater taste for life.

Application of magnetic therapy in heel spur pain

In heel spurs, we apply low analgesic frequencies of 4-10 Hz in the acute phase, and 10-50 Hz treatment for follow-up care and prevention, preferably via solenoids.
