Characteristics of asthma: Bronchial asthma is characterised by bouts of breathlessness. These are caused by functional obstructions (narrowing, obstruction) of the airways. The main mechanisms responsible for these obstructions are smooth muscle spasms in bronchi of all sizes, congestion and swelling of the mucous membranes and increased secretion of thick mucous.
Asthma is caused by an overreaction of the bronchi to numerous stimuli. Asthma is an immunological and non-immunological, or often combined phenomenon. Comprehensive treatment should include rehabilitation, exercise, cold hardening, spa treatment, and so on.
Using magnetic therapy in asthma
In asthma, low-frequency pulsed magnetic therapy improves airway patency due to its spasmolytic and anti-swelling effects, enhances the microcirculation of oxygenated blood in the lung tissue as well as blood oxygen saturation due to its strong vasodilatory effect on the pre-capillary arterioles and capillaries, and it reduces swelling.
Application of magnetic therapy in asthma
In asthma, initially we apply lower and middle frequencies of 2-25 Hz, which can be used alternately with regeneration programs (no. 28) for the prevention of recurrent attacks.
